| We especially pride ourselves in our 4th grade Gold Mining Expeditions. We strive to enrich students in the early California Gold Rush, by sharing with them the history and by teaching them how to pan for gold; each student gets hands on lessons at the river. The instructor is Al, he is a member of the Gold Prospectors Association of America and an Alaskan Prospector. He truly loves using his skills to work with the students and help them learn to pan for gold. Each child who participates in the lesson receives a glass vial, and gold pan, and a gold panning certificate. Also any gold, garnets or semi precious stone they find they get to keep. |
